Jack graduated from the University of St. Thomas in 1964, and married his wife, Mickey, the following Saturday.  He began his career working for Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, doing a lot of business with Monroe Shock Absorbers.  The Rep agency who worked with Firestone Tire and Rubber was Velie Sales, who offered Jack a position in 1965.  After accepting the position, Jack also became a 10% partner in Velie Sales in 1968.  In 1976, Jack founded Action Sales + Marketing with Bruce Abrahamson and Tex Ritter.  Jack retired from the business in December of 2017, but still remains an integral part of Action.
